Carli recently facilitated a Suicide, Self-Harm, and Substance Abuse Awareness Training for camp counselors at the Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in Toano, Virginia. More than 20 counselors participated in the training, actively engaged in the discussion, and gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and help create a safer, more supportive environment for campers this summer.

I wanted to start this to discuss the mental health needs in our community. I get a lot of calls from students needing internships and members of the community desperately seeking mental health services. There is a lack of providers in our community for psychiatry and mental health therapists. I want to see that change and bring the community together to help support each other.
